Guihulngan City’s Treasure

For the last two years, Corona Virus and its variants have been reigning the world. Schools, works, transportation, tourist spots, and other businesses have been deeply affected and have hit the rock bottom; all thanks to this invincible enemy.

Despite the existence of the virus up to this date, the Philippines could no longer withstand the terrible hit of this enemy. President Duterte has decided to allow the local business owners and tourist spots to re-open. Now that the Philippines is slowly trying its best to catch up with its huge loss, several new spots were discovered by local tourists.

One of these was the Guihulngan City, one of the cities in Negros region. This study has been known for its Hinakpan Hills which is also known as the Chocolate Hills of Negros. The green gradient of this spot will definitely capture and refresh your heart. The cool breeze coming from the trees planted there is something that makes the place more admirable.

Aside from that, they are also known for their unique festival named “Cara-Bell Festival” which is being celebrated when the 25th day of May strikes. This festival’s history was a bit extreme because legend says that the ancient people from this place have suffered maltreatment from Moro pirates. These include beheading them, sealing them to the sacks, and throwing them to the sea. Letting them drown and die. So to protect them from harm, a huge bell was made and will only be rung every time a danger is coming. However, due to the tyranny of these Moro pirates, the bell was also thrown to the bottom of the ocean.

This place hasn’t shown its full beauty to the people yet. But rest assured that this place is something that one should consider visiting because it will definitely leave the tourist in awe with its oozing charm and wonder. Come and enjoy the hidden paradise of Negros! Dayon na kamo sa Guihulngan City!
